About

Alien Cycle is a American old school motorcycle shop located in Denton, Texas. I work on American made bikes, both old and new. I’m in the process of cleaning up the shop and taking it into the 21st century with a dynamo meter and I already have a large arsenal of technical gadgets.

I have a full machine shop and specialize in Harley-Davidson engine and transmission building, welding, fabrication, service and repairs. Complete electrical service from troubling shooting to custom made wiring harnesses. I’ve been doing this professionally in shops for the past 26 years. I started off as service manager of Tramontin Harley-Davidson, of Clifton, NJ  in 1984.  From there I went to Haledon Cycle of Saddle Brook, NJ. At Haledon I designed one of the first aftermarket single-fire ignition systems, both with points and electronic hall effect units. I was also involved in designing a jig that allowed you to dual plug shovelheads in 30 minutes by just removing the head. I got to know and meet some very influential people that were involved in pro stock motorcycle racing. The knowledge I gained from them was incredible. You could not get a finer education anywhere. I was fortunate to be in the right places, at the right times, and with the right attitude and an open mind.

While I was into building fast street bikes, I also got to do some work for David Sarafan, restoring WLA’s. This got me into the antique stuff. I loved the way old Harley’s were built and took the cutting edge knowledge I learned from building the new stuff and started to put the two together. Old reliable motorcycles with power! Who says you can’t ride a Knucklehead or Flathead every day?
